A highly detailed watercolour painting.'The Sound of Silence' depicts the shattered window of a ramshackle old building which has sadly burned down since my reference photograph was taken. I spent many happy hours reproducing the different textures, wood grain and intricate details of all the elements in this scene before adding the barn owl taking flight to bring the painting to life.

Peter Williams is an entirely self taught artist working from his studio near the Suffolk coast.
